Stamp information:
Quang Tri Ancient Citadel, located on the bank of Thach Han river, is not only the political, economic and cultural centre of Quang Tri province but also played a significant role in Viet Nam’s history of struggle for national independence and defense of the country. Here, the fierce 81-day battle took place from June 28 to September 16 of 1972 in the cause of protecting the Citadel, as an immortal epic having gone down in the history of struggle against the foreign invaders of Vietnamese people.
To express the gratitude to the soldiers and revolutionary heroes having bravely defended the Citadel, the Ministry of Information and Communications cooperates with the People's Committee of Quang Tri to issue the stamp set "50th Anniversary of defending Quang Tri Ancient Citadel (1972-2022)", including 01 stamp with the face value of 4,000 VND:
* Stamp size: 43 x 32 (mm).
* FDC size: 190 x 110 (mm).
* Designer: Mr. Nguyen Du (Vietnam Post).
The special stamp launching ceremony is held on April 29, 2022 in Quang Tri.
