"Sammelblätter" - ´Collecting Pages´ - are a collecting phenomenon peculiar to Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Each ´blatt´ is a wonderful "all-in-one" coollector´s item, consisting of a stout A4 sized card which carries a first day cover (FDC) for the stamp in question, an example of that stamp tied to the card with an official FDI postmark, and an additional example mint (MNH) loose behind plastic. In addition there is usually extensive background information about the stamp etc.

Sammelblätter can be collected ´whole´ or they may be dismantled to taste - offering the thematic collector several options and at least three different examples of the stamp in question, making them excellent value for money. Fine unaddressed FDCs.
