MNH 2012/13 SOUTH SUDAN Lowest three values of the 2nd set of the Republic of South Sudan. Lower values show birds, higher values wildlife and coat of arms. Issue was set to be released on the occasion of the First Anniversary of Independence on 9 July 2012, but actually issued only at the end of 2012 or early 2013 after much delay.
All stamps include reference to the “First Anniversary of Independence 9 July 2012”. Details on the birds depicted on the stamps are as follows:
1 SSP : Shoe-billed Stork (Balaeniceps rex);
2 SSP : Bearded Vulture or ‘Lammergeier’ (Gypaetus barbatus);
5 SSP : Saddle-billed Stork (Ephippiorhynchus senegalensis).
The complete set consists of 6 stamps with values of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 SSP, showing birds, wildlife and the national Coat of Arms. The 10, 20 and 50 SSP values are not part of this short set for sale. Forwarding from Uganda by international airmail is euro 1.60 .

De drie laagste waarden van de tweede set van Zuid Soedan minus de hoogste waarden, 10, 20 en 50 SSP, die nog niet meteen voor het publiek beschibaar werden gesteld. De set postzegels zou eigenlijk uitkomen ter gelegenheid van de Eerste Herdenking van de Onafhankelijkheid op 9 juli 2012, maar is uiteindelijk met geruime vertraging pas eind 2012 /begin 2013 uitgekomen.
