Interesting type with crowned pillars divided date in nice condition. It was issued under Joseph I of Portugal rule (1750-1777) in the first year of His reign for Azores. The Obverse shows crowned coat of arms in baroque style, adopted in Azores coinage with legend PECUNIA INSULANA and the Reverse has semicircular legend with the title of the King IOSEPHUS·I·DG·*·PORT·ET·ALG·REX and denomination in Roman numeral X (reis).
