Christiaan Turcksin (° Peutie 1903, + Detmold 1987) richtte de Fabriekswacht op als een privaat bewakingsbedrijf, gelinkt aan het VNV en de Luftwaffe. Later hervormde hij deze tot Vlaamse Wacht, die op het einde van de oorlog zo’n 5000 man telde. Na de oorlog zat Turcksin tot 1957 in de gevangenis. Dit boek is een bewerking van zijn memoires door Jos Vinks, hoofdredacteur van het monumentale ‘Vlaanderen in Uniform’.
