    I have just performed a random search on one keyword and found three 'closed' items, the oldest of which was closed in June making it just short of four months old

    When sales are moved to a seller's 'archive' they remain there for a notional three months until automatically removed by the system, although this seems to be a bit of a movable feast as I have has some remain there for a lot longer: maybe it has to be in a 'complete' status (i.e. marked as sent and received) before the clock starts ticking

    In any event, it looks like the search option will pick up quite a bit of historical information if that is what you are after

    Simple - click on the item in question, scroll down to the bottom of the listing, and read the date closed
