United States, Scott #4672 (Michel #4853-I)(Yvert and Tellier #4495)(Stanley Gibbons #5275), used(o) coil, 2012 definitive in the Flora and Fauna Series, first in a run of three stamps showing a reclining Bobcat, this has the issue date at bottom right (others: 2013, Scott #4802, date at top left, 2015, Scott #4672a, date at top right), 1 cent, coil stamp perforated 10 vertical, photogravure printed by Ashton Potter USA (APU), issued with non-water soluble, pressure sensitive, self-adhesive gum, ‘USPS’ in microprint on the cat's right inner ear, dated 2012 at lower right, no watermark, multicolored, Scott 2025 Catalog Value: 25¢, nicely centered, date space considered (superb), which is unusually good for a coil stamp as most are considerably off-centered, very light, half circular, red-inked, double-rimmed, 180° half counter-clockwise turned, socked-on-the-nose cancellation over the left half of the stamp and well into the main image, however, the lightness of the cancel leaves the main image remarkably clear, stamp has a vertical bend to the stamp surface caused when the customer incorrectly bent back the stamp on removing it from its issue coil, hence price considered, good perforations, stamp was lifted from the mailing envelope using the Bestine solvent and placed on a piece of black card stock for an attractive and uniform album appearance with other stamps from the period similarly mounted; centering, mounting, and image clear cancellation warrants a selling price premium, but surface problems call for an adjustment, so it's much a wash. This is not a 'bait-and-switch;' the stamp you see will be the one you receive.
Please review my terms of sale. If you are not ordering from the United States, there is a $US1.70 additional postage expense that needs to be added to the price of the stamp. If you are ordering from the United States, there is only a $US0.78 added postage expense. Also, if you make additional purchases from my offerings, they can all go in one mailing at no extra shipping expense for the added purchases. I will send the purchase by US first class mail, since the relatively low value of the stamp does not warrant signature or tracking mail. Hence the buyer assumes risk of loss or non-delivery. I will keep a scan of my mailing to verify that the correct mailing address was used. If not satisfied, return the stamp to me at your own expense, and I will refund the cost, but not my postage to you. If the stamp is not as described, I will refund the cost and reimburse you for postage both ways.
