I have now published my Schubert Postcard catalogue, which is available on a Print on Demand (PoD) platform. I am particularly interested in talking to other collectors with significant collections of Schubert cards, to help the catalogue be as complete as it can be. The current catalogue database has over 2,200 cards and variants of cards, including lots that I do not have in my collection, but come from other collections and publications (not to mention internet listings that were too expensive for me to justify buying).
If you are in the UK, I prefer to be paid by direct transfer to my bank account, as that does not cost either of us any fees.
I will usually get a proof of posting when I ship items. I can insure the package in transit, but only if you pay the extra insurance fee. If insurance is not paid, then items in transit are at your risk, not mine. I am happy to wait for others of my auctions to end, to potentially save you in shipping costs. This usually also benefits me, as I only get a single paypal fee that way..
Postcards, small pictures, etc., bought with magazines will often not increase the cost of postage.
I usually ship postcards in plastic sleeves and magazines and pictures in plastic bags inside envelopes stiffened with cardboard.

Postage for magazines:
Shipping costs for magazines is hard to accurately predict in advance. Even for the same type of magazine, the costs can vary considerablywith varying page counts, and thus weights. Early Etudes and the Musician are very large magazines which need unusually large (and thus expensive) envelopes. The estimates, below, are only estimates and you should wait for a firm cost with your invoice, though I will try to ensure that those costs are equal to or less than the estimates.
Postage for a single issue (price for multiple issues will be more, but normally quite a bit cheaper than just multiplying by the number of magazines. Please ask for details in advance if unsure).:
Musical Times
UK: Counts as a large letter. With wartime and post war issues I may be able to ship a couple for the same price. First class: £1.50.
Europe: International standard: £4.00
USA/Far East: International standard: £5.00
The Musician/Etude, up to around the end of 1939: These are BIG. 34cm x 27 cm.Too big to be a large letter, so they have to go as small parcels.
UK: First Class: £3.80
Europe: International standard: £4.60
USA/Far East: International standard: £5.60 (there is an economy which is a little cheaper, but much slower).
It looks like I may be able to trim a little off those prices if I send things printed paper rate, but I am not sure how that affects the speed, or if there are size limits. I need to check at a post office.
Postage for pictures:
Postage for pictures largely depends on the size of the picture, since you end up actually paying mostly for the cardboard to keep it flat in transit. Small pictures such as Immortal Men of Music Miniatures or Perry pictures ship as if they are postcards.
