Special Offer: full set 2nd issue cancelled on cover in January 2016 = Südsudan 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 SSP birds wildlife and Coat of Arms. Stamps issued in 2012/13. Cancelled 2nd set of the Republic of South Sudan , including the 20 and 50 SSP values. Issue was set to be released on the occasion of the First Anniversary of Independence on 9 July 2012, but actually issued only at the end of 2012 or early 2013 after much delay.
The complete set consists of 6 stamps with values of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 SSP, showing birds, wildlife and the national Coat of Arms. Only the lowest values were released initially to the public. The 20 and 50 SSP values became only available early 2013. The 50 SSP stamp, National Coat of Arms, was added to the birds & wildlife set as the first stamp with the Coat of Arms, the 3.5 SSP of the 1st set, carried a penultimate version of the Coat of Arms and was therefore withdrawn.
All stamps include reference to the “First Anniversary of Independence 9 July 2012”. Details on the animals depicted on the different stamps are as follows: 1 SSP : Shoe-billed Stork (Balaeniceps rex); 2 SSP : Bearded Vulture or ‘Lammergeier' (Gypaetus barbatus); 5 SSP : Saddled Bill or Saddle-billed Stork (Ephippiorhynchus senegalensis); 10 SSP : Nile Lechwe (Kobus megaceros), text on stamp: “only found in South Sudan”; 20 SSP: picture shows a Bongo Antelope, text on stamp, however, states ´White Eared Kob Found in South Sudan in Greatest Migrating Numbers´; 50 SSP: Coat of Arms including a stylized picture of the African Fish Eagle.

De tweede set van Zuid Soedan op een enveloppe inclusief de hoogste waarden, 20 en 50 SSP, die niet meteen voor het publiek beschibaar waren gesteld. De set postzegels zou eigenlijk uitkomen ter gelegenheid van de Eerste Herdenking van de Onafhankelijkheid op 9 juli 2012, maar is uiteindelijk met geruimevertraging pas eind 2012 /begin 2013 uitgekomen.
