WHY DOES SHIPPING COST SO MUCH ??
The number one reason is because of Paypal. To meet the Buyer/Seller protection requirements an item needs to be Trackable from shipment to destination. From Australia THE ONLY way is by Parcel Post.
Air Mail does not provide tracking.
Registered does not provide Tracking, (it ONLY provides proof of postage, which is not enough to meet the Paypal requirements.)
Also Australia Post (&USA) state that any item carrying goods,(stamps and covers are goods) must go by Parcel Post. I do ignore this for items under $100 which I ship by regular Air, but on orders over $100, I strictly adhere to the Paypal safe shipping requirements.
The second reason is because Australia Post charges this much !! I do not add on anything for packing, just what Australia Post charges me, I even pay the insurance myself !!

So PLEASE do not order from me if you will not pay for safe shipping !!! If you wish to pay by Cash, then I will ship by any method you like, most International will cost between $3.30-$8.30. This is at your risk. But if you use Paypal over $100 (or $50 for some high risk Countries) it must be TRACKABLE.
