Very scarce historical banknote from 1920, the pre Yugoslavia era of Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes (Kraljevina Srbov Hrvatov in Slovencev). Issued as a substitute for the 1000 dinara with 4000 kruna banknote from 1919. First issue banknote had poor security elements which made it interesting for the counterfeiters. So the second issue had a blue overprint of the King. Very iconic and attractive design showing St. George (Sv. Jurij) slaying the dragon, from Gustave Fraipont and Emil Deloche. Based on the motive it gave the popular name "jurja" for all future 1000 dinara banknotes. See the detailed photos for the condition of the banknote.
