If listing on the UK site you can only list in Sterling and on the French site, Euros

You can list on the International site of course, in any currency you like, but such items will not appear on the local (country) sites

When I first joined Delcampe I toyed with the idea of using the various national sites for topographical cards, but decided against it. Whether that was the right decision or not, I don't know. I expect what is more of a problem selling overseas (specially if it concerns low value items) is postage cost.

As Xtf says, if you use International only, you can list in any currency you like. If you want to use the French, German, USA, etc. site, you have to list in the currency of the site.

Like you, I prefer all my payments to be in GBP, but if you list on "foreign" sites, you'll have to accept their currency. I have no idea what the situation is with MB, because I've never received a payment in a foreign currency, but the exchange rate applied by Paypal is quite appalling.

Keep the weight below 40g and postage to Europe is £1 - a single PC in a small board-back envelope comes in at 30-35g

    Can I ask you something?

When you moved your cards to different sites, did it actually do a currency conversion or was your $5.00 card listed as a 5.00 Euro card?

Having separate currency balances in PayPal is very convenient if you're also buying in those currencies. Then you will spend the pounds you get as pounds, the euros as euros and so on, and never have to worry about losing several percent in currency excanges back and forth.

You can list your French cards on the French site of course, and the use of Euro will default automatically

You would probably need to list items in French (description, terms, etc.) otherwise it would be pretty pointless and may fall foul of the 'wrong language' restriction in the Terms & Conditions

    Bon chance!
