Rough translation of letter contents

Friend describing his hospital stay (7 months to date) which had gone by quickly, recounting memories of his 8+ hours skin graft operation in the operating theatre. Despite a sharp drop in his blood pressure (which required blood transfusion), he was lucky to recover from this operation. As the hospital is short-handed, he is remaining there to assist and will not be leaving the place soon. He hopes that his friend Tsai Da Yang will drop by often for a chat when possible.
