SOUTH SUDAN 21 July 2020 South Sudan released a new stamp issue commemorating the health workers assisting in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. The new stamp series titled "Struggle against Covid-19 Pandemic: Tribute to healthcare personnel" is a joint issue based on a common design depicting a medical crew surrounding planet Earth as a protective layer. The whole form suggests the coronavirus shape. The South Sudan issue was designed by the South Sudan Stamp Committee under the chairmanship of the South Sudan designer Mr. Stanislaus Tombe Felix, using some design features of the joint African postal services issue. The set has six face values: 50, 100, 200, 300, 500 and 1000 SSP. A souvenir sheetlets and FDCs also exist. This sale concerns the 6 values postage stamp set only.

Overview:

I am a collector of postcards and stamps of Bhutan and South Sudan. I have extensively contributed to the entries in WIKIPEDIA of Postal Stamps and Postal History for both countries, Bhutan and South Sudan. To finance my hobby, I sell stamps, postcards and phonecards of, in particular, these two countries.

I am a national from the Netherlands (a.k.a. Holland), living abroad since 1986, nowadays mainly in Uganda and Thailand, with regular trips to Bhutan and South Sudan.
While Bhutan is an acclaimed success story, the present state of affairs in South Sudan is reason for serious worry. We always hope for the best.
