SOUTH SUDAN January 2012 cover to the Netherlands, postmarked Juba 17 Jan 2012. International mail exchange of South Sudan after Independence on 11 July 2011 was still via Khartoum, the capital of Sudan and came to a complete stand-still as of end April 2012 when border clashes erupted between North and South Sudan and all direct air traffic came to a halt. Since then till present South Sudan has only incoming international mail thanks especially to Kenya, but no outgoing mail exchange. International outgoing covers duly used between Independence on 11 July 2011 and end of April 2012 are very scarce. Cover carries 2x 3.5 SSP stamps with Dr John Garang, South Sudan's revolutionary leader (1945 - 2003)..

All payments are made through the Delcampe website. Depending on the possibilities offered by the seller, you can use PayPal, add a credit/debit card or make a bank transfer to top up your balance. No payments are made by cheque or bank transfer directly to the seller.
