SOUTH SUDAN Surcharged overprints on 2 SSP Birds of 2nd set, 5 different overprints exist, all in black color: 50 SSP, 75SSP (crossed lines on old value like the 50 and 100 SSP), 75 SSP ( crossed lines like the 300 SSP), 100 SSP and 300 SSP. 2 SSP Birds shows Bearded Vulture or ‘Lammergeier’ (Gypaetus barbatus); note, however, the typo on the stamp which reads 'Lammengeier' with an 'n' instead of an 'r';
Due to a radical devaluation of the South Sudanese Pound (SSP) new postal rates are being introduced and the remaining lower values of the 1st and 2nd set have been taken out of circulation and have been surcharged. These overprints have been available to the public as of 15 September 2017.
International priority mail from the Netherlands is euro 1.90. I combine purchases to save on postage costs. See my other sales for South Sudan, Uganda and Bhutan.
