Starting from 1998, the definitive postal stamps with topic "The nature of Japan" have been reviewed to ensure design consistency for the first time in 17 years.

In 2014-2015, the "New nature of Japan" definitive stamps were issued with
- 2-yen to 50-yen stamps depicting "animals and small creatures",
- 52-yen to 140-yen stamps depicting "blossoms and flower petals",
- 205-yen to 1000-yen stamps depicting "landscapes", and
- the 1-yen stamp continues to depict Hisoka Maejima, the founder of modern postal system in Japan.

This extremely rare, beautiful and top-notch quality booklet have a complete set of new definitive stamps, from
- 1st series, issued in March 3, 2014, including Scott 3647-3653,
- 2nd series, issued in February 2, 2015, including Scott 3788 to 3798, and 2 special souvernir sheets which not to be sold separately from this booklet, that is Scott 3789a (perforate 2-yen "Hokkaido Ezo mountain hare", Scott 3648 & 3-yen "Hokkaido Ezo chipmunk", Scott 3789 stamps) and Scott 3799b (imperforate 1000-yen "Matsu-kata-zu" Hawks & Pines, Scott 2485a & 1000-yen "Fuji-zu" Mount Fuji, Scott 3799a).

All the stamps are safely housed in clear mounts, MNH, with detailed English description. Two special souvenirs were printed with limited serial numbers.
