In 2003 door het veilinghuis Henri Godts geschat op 4.500 euro voor een exemplaar met een moderne pasticheband.

4 delen met doorlopende foliëring in 1 vol. In een donkerbruine vollederen band. Koperen slotjes ontbreken en op de band zijn sporen (wormgaatjes) zichtbaar van insecten, alsook op de laatste pagina’s van boekdeel 4.

Editio princeps van de Nederlandse vertaling geïllustreerd met meer dan 200 houtsneden waarvan sommige herhaald. Een merkwaardigheid betreft een herbruikt borduurornament met monogram “EC” zijnde het merk van de Keulse drukker Eucharius Cervicornus.

Goed en aantrekkelijk exemplaar van deze zeer zeldzame uitgave.

Valued in 2003 by auction house Henri Godts at €4,500 for a copy with a modern pastiche binding.

4 volumes with continuous foliation in 1 vol. In a dark brown full leather binding. Copper clasps missing and traces (worm holes) of insects are visible on the binding, as well as on the last pages of volume 4.

Editio princeps of the Dutch translation illustrated with over 200 woodcuts, some of which are repeated. One peculiarity concerns a reused embroidery ornament with monogram ‘EC’ being the mark of the Cologne printer Eucharius Cervicornus.

Good and attractive copy of this very rare edition.
