This lot of five 10-cent coins from the Bahamas spans nearly five decades of the nation’s modern coinage. First issued in 1966 after independence from Britain, the 10-cent piece features the famous Bahamian sloop on the reverse and Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse. The earliest in this lot, dated 1969, comes from the initial production years struck by the Royal Mint in the UK. Later issues, such as 1992 and the brilliant 2015, were minted by the Royal Canadian Mint, reflecting ongoing Commonwealth ties. These coins represent both circulating history and mint craftsmanship, appealing to collectors of Caribbean and Commonwealth currency.
