What is the purpose of the bank account visible in my account?
To simplify payment by bank transfer via Mangopay, our payment partner, each member whose account currency is in Euro has been assigned a personal sub-IBAN. This corresponds to an extension of the main IBAN of the Mangopay bank account. This sub-IBAN is to be considered as a structured communication allowing Mangopay to identify each Delcampe member making a transfer.
Thanks to this sub-IBAN, you can easily credit your balance by bank transfer. What's more, you can pay your seller using the same sub-IBAN and a communication linked to the payment request received. We'll explain this this process in more detail later.

In the past, to credit a member's balance by bank transfer, the member had to a time-consuming and error-prone process. We wanted to find a quicker, simpler solution for our members.
Thanks to the sub-IBAN assigned to you, you can easily credit your balance without having to add a unique communication each time or initiate payment on the site beforehand. This bank account is personal to you, any money transfer to your sub-IBAN will appear directly in your account.
Why is the sub-IBAN in my name and not in Mangopay's name?

It's also important to note that you don't have to declare it to the tax authorities. In fact, this sub-IBAN is specifically created to facilitate your payments on our site. our site. It should only be used for your transactions on the Delcampe website.
Why do I see my sub-IBAN when I want to pay a seller by bank transfer?
In January 2024, we made changes to the site, making it impossible for our buyers to issue direct payments by bank transfer to the seller's personal bank account.
For some time thereafter, if you wished to pay for a purchase by bank transfer, the only option was to credit your balance first then use this balance to pay for your purchases. As this process made the payment more complex we looked for a simpler solution. The sub-IBAN is part of this solution.
Each payment request is now associated with a single-use, multi-digit code. visible if you tick “bank transfer” at the payment stage. When you make a bank transfer to your sub-IBAN and include this unique code in the communication, Mangopay can make the link between the payment and the payment request you wished to pay. As a result, the sum is transferred directly to the seller as soon as the payment is processed by Mangopay and the payment icons are checked. You don't need to do anything else - the the seller is paid.
