RARE LETTER AND ORIGINAL ENVELOPE FROM EMPEROR FREDERICK III OF GERMANY

Fine and rare letter accompanied by its original envelope franked with a royal wax seal, from Frederick III (1831-1888), signed as King of Prussia, untranslated but possibly an official appointment or award. He was King of Prussia and Emperor of Germany for only 99 days. He was the only son of Wilhelm I, he married the Princess Royal Princess Victoria of Great Britain, daughter of Queen Victoria. He died in Potsdam. Letter is dated 24th October 1876. 1 page surmounted by a crown and double headed eagle. Size 22 x 28.5 cm approx.
