GREAT BRITAIN NAVY SUBMARINE TORPEDO INVENTION MOUNTBATTEN 1942
Letter of commendation from the Office of the Commander in Chief, Western Approacher, Liverpool for Arthur Cotton, Experimental Officer, HM Anti-submarine Experimental Station at Farlie, Ayrshire. Also, a copy of Officer Cotton\'s invention for \'The Aerial Torpedo Mine.\' Also, a letter from Lord Lonis Mountbatten as head of Combined Operations to Arthur Cotton. Mountbatten and Cotton had been friends since WWI when they served in the Navy together. During the 1920\'s, Cotton established Repeating Gramophone Ltd., of which he was Managing Director and Mountbatten, a Non-executive Director. Repeating Gramophone enjoyed success with HRH Price of Wales, later King Edward 8th and HRH Duke of York, later King George 8th both extolling the virtues of the innovative new record player.
