Club Atlético Peñarol stamp 130 years of glory
The general design makes a reference to the old train tickets, and the proposal refers to the Club's origins in 1891 and highlights its most important sporting achievements, the Copa Libertadores and its years of conquest, the cities where it became champion. of the Intercontinental and the Champion of the Century, among other institutional slogans.
In the center you can see a locomotive next to its bunker. The Class R1 locomotive, built by Beyer Peacock & Co. Ltd., Gorton Foundry, Manchester, England, in 1910, under factory order 123, factory number 5403. Shot 2-8-0, 4'-6 "drive wheels diameter, and two 19x24 piston stroke outer cylinders. Originally, it operated on coal and saturated steam, transformed to superheated steam in 1918, and converted to fuel oil between 1923 and 1924. This locomotive not only operated in Uruguay but also stopped at the Peñarol station, being an important icon of the origins of the neighborhood and our institution.
The development of the seal as well as the research and design were developed by Estudio Güin and the Club Atlético Peñarol History Commission.

El diseño en general hace una referencia a los viejos boletos de trenes, y la propuesta hace referencia a los orígenes del Club en 1891 y destaca sus logros deportivos más importantes, la Copa Libertadores y sus años de conquista, las ciudades en donde se consagró campeón de la Intercontinental y el Campeón del Siglo, entre otros lemas institucionales.
En el centro se puede observar una locomotora junto a su carbonera. La locomotora Clase R1, construida por Beyer Peacock & Co. Ltd., Gorton Foundry, Manchester, England, en 1910, bajo la orden de fábrica 123, número de fabrica 5403. Rodado 2-8-0,
diámetro de ruedas motrices 4'-6", y dos cilindros exteriores de 19x24 de carrera del pistón. Originalmente, operaba a carbón y vapor saturado, transformada a vapor recalentado en 1918, y convertida a consumo de petróleo (fuel oil) entre 1923 y 1924. Dicha locomotora no solamente operaba en Uruguay sino que paraba en la estación Peñarol, siendo un ícono importante de los orígenes del barrio y nuestra institución.
