1908/1909, cover from "COLMAR 26.4.08" to Mr. E. Morgenroth at King Edward VII Land with already stated instruction that, if addressee has departed, to be forwarded to Costa Rica. The letter was indeed undeliverable and received a violet stright line "NOT KNOWN AT / KING ED-VII Land" (UNIQUE ON COVER INCOMING FROM GERMANY!), several N.Z. postmarks 27 Oct - 8 Dec 1908 (Lyttelton, Christchurch, Auckland incl. red DLO) on front and on reverse. Finally returned to Germany (not to Costa Rica), there officially opened and sealed (to identify the sender), postmarked "COLMAR 2.2.09" and "MÜHLHAUSEN 8.2.09" and with postage due marking and instruction mark (clear enough that the envelope shows stronger postal wear). ALMOST INCREDIBLE AND PHANTASTIC ANTARCTIC RARITY!

In april 2005 the idea to build a place where collectors, customers and investors from all over the world could meet, was realized.
Since that time both, the Mail Order House and Auction House Gärtner, have been united on 2.700 m2 in the easy accessible building owned by Christoph Gärtner.
Generous viewing and storage rooms, a private auction hall, enough parking space and an underground car park are available.
