As the letter has been paid to travel by British Closed Mail via France, the French portion of the postage (tenpence) has been accounted for on the face of the cover.
Letter mentions that the price of Tea has gotten very expensive due to the War with China, and the writer (the daughter of the Captain) expects no availability the following year.
