Shortly after the end of world war II - March 24, 1946, in the suburbs of the Portuguese capital of Lisbon died of a broken heart, a brilliant Russian chess world champion Alexander Alekhine. Death caught Alekhine at the chess Board - he was preparing for the match for the world championship against the Soviet grandmaster Mikhail Botvinnik.
