Downloading and installation

Warning: Downloading of the lister is permitted to all, but the sending feature is reserved for the Club+ Gold members.

1. To download the lister, click on the link then, when the downloading window opens, click on « Open ». Once the downloading is completed, the file will be launched automatically.

2. If your computer does not have Framework.net, a dialog box will warn you and invite you to download it in order to proceed with the installation of this software required by the lister. If your computer already has the software, you can move on directly to point 3. Framework.net is a Microsoft product and the downloading source resides on Microsoft servers. It is necessary that you follow the screen instructions and finalize the installation of Framework.net before installing the lister. You need then to restart the installation of the lister before proceeding ahead.

3. Define the location on your hard disk where you wish to install the the Lister (the default location is recommended), then click on "Next".

4. Continue the installation procedure and move on to the next screens by clicking on "Next". The lister will then install itself on your computer. Click "Close". Afterwards, you can use launch the lister by clicking on the shortcut on your desktop or in the start menu.

- Working principles
  
  The lister is a piece of software developed to let members generate rapidly and efficiently many auctions without having to be connected the whole time on the site. The lister allows you to prepare everything for your auctions in the comfort of an off-line application and to load the list on the server at the time of your choosing.
- Compatibility
  
  The Lister was developed with .NET technology and utilizes therefore framework .NET from Microsoft, which is claimed to compatible with the following operating systems:
  - Windows XP Home
  - Windows XP Pro
  - Windows 2000
  - Windows ME
  - Windows 98 SE
  - Windows 98
  - Windows NT (with latest Service Pack)
  Windows 95 is not supported, as well as all non-Microsoft systems (framework under consideration).
- Advantages and downside
  
  A. The lister offers many advantages, especially.:
  · Rapid generation of auctions
  
  · Elimination of the need for an internet connection during the generation process
  · Possibility of importing and exporting your lsitings of items in CSV format (MS Excel format).
  · Layout of your auctions in folders created by you.
  
  B. On the negative side, there is only one disadvantage :
  
  · It is impossible to know at the moment of the sending the reference number of the auction. On the other hand, as soon as it is accepted by the site, you will receive an email giving you the number.
- Help during use
  - Sending a listing
    
    To load your listing (the contents of your current Lister folder) on the server, two conditions must be met :
    
    1. The file may not be empty.
    
    2. At least one element in the file must be selected.
    
    When you click on the loading button, a window opens and a connection to Delcampe is established. If you have not specified your nickname and password among the Lister parameters, you will be prompted to provide those. Once you are identified by the site, the transfer begins and the loading dialog box will close upon completion of the operation. Then, all items sent to the server are flagged (with a little red ball) and cannot be sent again, unless you re-activate them (using the menu).
  - Parameters and options
    
    The parameter menu (Options > Parameters) contains several useful functions :
    
    « General » dialog box:
    
    · Updating : By checking various boxes, you can ask the Lister to update itself and the categories at every start of the application .
    
    · Automatic save : You can set a time interval at which you want to save your file periodically. With this feature, the application will save your listing every so often and you won't run the risk of losing your latest changes should a failure occur with the hardware, software or by human error.
    
    « Languages » dialog box :
    
    · This window allows you to select easily the language of the application according to your preference.
