Mário Dionísio (Lisboa, 16 de Julho de 1916 - Lisboa, 17 de Novembro de 1993) foi um escritor e pintor português do século XX. Licenciou-se em Filologia Românica em 1940 na Faculdade de Letras da Universidade Clássica de Lisboa.
Foi professor do ensino liceal/secundário e depois da Revolução dos Cravos da Faculdade de Letras, onde havia tirado o curso. Interveio em diversas conferências, debates, além de ter colaborado em publicações periódicas como a Seara Nova, Vértice ou Diário de Lisboa e foi também tradutor.
Prefaciou diversos autores como Manuel da Fonseca, Carlos de Oliveira e José Cardoso Pires e Alves Redol. Sensibilizado pela pintura, não só pintou como lhe dedicou alguns livros, como por exemplo A Paleta e o Mundo. Enquanto pintor, usou os pseudónimos de Leandro Gil e José Alfredo Chaves. Participou em diversas exposições coletivas, tendo em 1989 realizado a sua primeira exposição dedicada em exclusivo à sua pintura.
