here are u.s. scott #3209 s/s MNH (**) ´transmississippi´ re-iissues souvenir sheets of 9. issued in 1997, i bought several sets of these. now i am going to sell them to my cousins in europe. this is one way to obtain a very expensive u.s. set for a reasonable price. this set was originally planned to be issued in two colors in 1898, but due to the spanish american war and poor finances in the printing bureau´s budget, the originals were done in solid colors. the reprints however are done in their intended colors. and are so very well engraved too. how different the american culture was in its early years from the european culture and that difference is depicted quite well in this issue. especially with the plains indian hunting the buffalo.these sheets are still in their original post office packing and will be shipped as such to protect them. happy bidding.
