Item description:
This unique 1936 GRAF (LZ 127) Zeppelin cover was postmarked on-board (“Bordpost,” 31 October 1936) and flew on the 12th South America Trip (12.Sudamerikafahrt) from Friedrichshafen, GERMANY to Recife (Pernambuco) Brazil (see 1 November 1936 postmark for Pernambuco on the cover back). It is franked with the 1936, blue, 50-Pfg. and the green, 75-Pfg. German Zeppelin airmail stamps (Michel catalog nos. 606-607) and one 1934, brown 25-Pfg. airmail stamp (Michel catalog no. 533x). .
