You are bidding on Chinese MINT stamps commemorating the 21st Universiade. China Serial number: 2001-15. Complete 6 sets of 18. ( in blocks of 6). MNH. In excellent condition.
On August 22, 200l, China Post Bureau issued a set of three stamps. The titles are "For Participation," "Exercise for Good Health; Strive for Higher Goal" and "Enhance Communication" respectively.
The 2lst Universiade was held in Beijing from August 22 to September l. It was the first large-scale, international-level games in the new century and the first of its kind hosted by China. The 2lst Universiade had l2 sports and l68 events. About 7000 sportsmen and sportswomen, and officials from l60 countries and regions participated, representing the largest scale and highest level of the Universiade in its history. They fully demonstrated Chinese college students´ youthful vigor, and their love for friendship and peace.
