Can we please have the two Congo''s as separate entitiies in the phonecard section please?
I also think a good look needs to be made at the listings for Malaya, Malaysia and all its separate state issues. At the moment everything is lumped together in the Malaysia listing making that countries category rather messy as at least ten stamp issuing entities are encompassed within its listings - and some of them issued quite a lot of material (Sarawak, North Borneo Straits Settlements et al).

I've just noticed that the 'British Colony' category has had considerable effort expended apon it.
Thanks - I did not notice any announcement to that effect - but then I can be as blind as a bat!
It is going to take me a month of Sundays to shift all my items into the correct slots - how useful and time saving a tool to do this would be - as doing them one by one is a thankless and time consuming task. No wonder so many items are miscategorised and with British Commonwealth items I am currently a prime offender until I can sort all mny listings out. I have made a start with British Honduras and noticed I had mislested some British Guiana in the same slot!!
My thanks to whoever has moved some of my items already for me - I owe you a good drink. (If you are ever in the High Wycombe area?!!).

Delcampe are good at making changes to categories and not informing anyone - they blitzed Hong Kong philately a few months ago and sent a message out to anyone with items on offer, but I've not seen anything since
As a Moderator I do try to tackle the Phonecard section from time to time, but the labours of Hercules are nothing in comparison, plus the tide of miscategorised stamps and postcards keeps cutting me off from behind!
Any decent beer in High Wycombe? I might be tempted to try and sort you out for a small (liquid) consideration...
Blow that, make it a large consideration!

Changes to the British Colonies in the Philatelic section have been been announced on the D* News section as of today
I've now got my Moderator head on and I'm going to try and move Others into their respective berths, so apologies in advance if things go horribly wrong!

For the effort saved in moving only a small proportion of my now miscategorised listings it will be worth a few pints of our local brews.
We have several small breweries in the area that produce some good beers (Rebellion Brewery and some local pubs stock Brakspeares beer produced by a brewery in Henley apon Thames to name but two).
It took me ages to sort out just British Honduras and British Guiana earlier and I view with trepidation the effort made just to sort out the various bits of Malaya and its offshoots and all the other pre-independence issues. Some entities like St Helena have up to now not been shifted or split and others like British Antarctic Territory still do not have a slot unless I have missed it when looking.

While the addition of the new categories is welcome I feel that it would help if the intention to introduce these had been announced in advance. This has two advantages, firstly users can see if the changes are fit for purpose or if they need amending before going live. Secondly if you are about to list items you may well decide to hold off until the new category is live.
Prior to a general announcement perhaps at a very early stage in planning the proposed changes should be listed in this forum for comment. IMO better to arrive late and fully functional than rush out, we have recently seen what ensues when an "improvement" goes wrong.
Rather than announcing in D* News, how many people read it, to ensure that everyone is aware it should be in an email, perhaps by way of a monthly newsletter issued at the same time each month in which the competitions and other announcements can appear.

An email came out last night to those sellers with items in the affected category - several hours after the new categories became live

I managed to move about 9000 of the 25000 affected items last night
I haven't tried to move Hong Kong, Malaysia or KUT as these areas have too many sub-categories to deal with in bulk so you may have to do these yourselves, item by item
Also, I appreciate that some items will be in the wrong bit of each country/colony but that can't be helped with so many items, several languages and variations of item description

I note that over 100 of my listings have moved overnight.
Would you like to move the other 3-4000 that are affected by these changes.
Personally, I'm furious. Has anyone bothered to consult about these changes?
Some of them don't make much sense and having countries in two areas just seems ludricrous. Even the countries listed under British Colonies is pretty light which will add further confusion.
Without some sort of tool which Delcampe refuse to give to us the whole site has become a huge mess.
This is the third roll-out this month that hasn't been thought through - first we had the payments & invoices; then the Bonus Card; and now this huge Category change!
And I don't really think Delcampe cares ... they certainly don't listen!
I just give up with Delcampe. If I could move my listings I would go.
