It´s over one and a half year since last Africa Lobby List list was presented. This list is not a general list. It is a simplified suggestion list for new well needed categories for what is already there.       
      
Time for an update at Delcampe as well?

Cameroon is the correct spelling in English      
but we can find at France colonies it is spelled "Cameroun"      
Further, this with having a "philatelic country" at       
more than one place creates some confusion.      
Independence was gained from France 01JAN60      
and from United Kingdom 01OCT60      
Who knows where to draw the line between      
the colonial period and republic period?      
Find the text "Republique" or RF on earlier stamps      
and you are on the right way but for later issues      
that doesn´t work at all.       
It shouldn´t be neccesary to be a specialist of       
Camerooneese stamps just for to list one stamp.      
If they are at the same place and drop over at the      
subcategories for colony and republic at least      
most have a fare chance rather than jump to Europe      
or a catalogue when Delcampe exist live.

In this suggested way, all collectors get a broader picture of the      
Comoro Islands stamp issues and it will be more easy to learn      
where to put the colonial and republic issues without surfing      
around the whole planet like a drunken bee.      
      
Interesting also may be to see the the development of the stamp issues      in the transfering period from colony to republic regarding printing
methods and choices of motifs. Delcampe is nowadays in colour too.      
      
Give back the colonial stamps to Comoro Islands and let the former      colonial powers only to keep the absolutely dead stamp countries.      
      
Isn´t historical and cultural logical - easy, educative, decent and       
very developing for stamp collecting as well?       
      
Same system for every former colony developed into a republic/kingdom,

A "PHILATELIC COUNTRY" is a country bearing the same name       
at all times. If it changes its name more than to spell it different      
like "Norge and Noreg" = Norway is still the same "philatelic country"      
or like Libya adding some extras. However if it starts to call it self something      
else like Benin then you got a NEW "PHILATELIC COUNTRY".      
Same as for South West Africa and Namibia which are two different      
"PHILATELIC countries", although Namibia is SWA + Walvis Bay      
so it grow a little and South Africa less and why to go to Germany colonies      
for to find some stamps from German West Africa?      
      
Anyway, what really counts is what country-name is printed on the stamps       
not the political stuation of the time beeing of the issue but it would      
nice to have them closer.....

In this suggested way, all collectors get a broader picture of the      
Comoro Islands stamp issues and it will be more easy to learn      
where to put the colonial and republic issues without surfing      
around the whole planet like a drunken bee.      
      
Interesting also may be to see the the development of the stamp issues      in the transfering period from colony to republic regarding printing
methods and choices of motifs. Delcampe is nowadays in colour too.      
      
Give back the colonial stamps to Comoro Islands and let the former      colonial powers only to keep the absolutely dead stamp countries.      
      
Isn´t historical and cultural logical - easy, educative, decent and       
very developing for stamp collecting as well?       
      
Same system for every former colony developed into a republic/kingdom,

A "PHILATELIC COUNTRY" is a country bearing the same name       
at all times. If it changes its name more than to spell it different      
like "Norge and Noreg" = Norway is still the same "philatelic country"      
or like Libya adding some extras. However if it starts to call it self something      
else like Benin then you got a NEW "PHILATELIC COUNTRY".      
Same as for South West Africa and Namibia which are two different      
"PHILATELIC countries", although Namibia is SWA + Walvis Bay      
so it grow a little and South Africa less and why to go to Germany colonies      
for to find some stamps from German West Africa?      
      
Anyway, what really counts is what country-name is printed on the stamps       
not the political stuation of the time beeing of the issue but it would      
nice to have them closer.....
