I try for the second times to sell stamps on internet.
My first try last year was poor in results, but I learned my fouts and working better now.
I have plenty of stamps of great value, and encounter some problems to identify them, because the catalogs are very expensive.
Do you know some places where one can search actual value of stamps on the net ?
I will come again to show some curiosities...
You will say I am a criminal: Last night I was cutting old books of stamps to gain some place, and by inadvertance I cut 2 stamps !
(By chance, too not expensive)
Oups !

hi cousin,
i know of no place on the internet that offers a service such as this except maybe stanley gibbons. i realize the catalogs, whether they are printed or cdrom, are expensive. however, if you check your local library, you may find copies of stamp catalogs you can check out, borrow, or even sometimes buy at good discounts. if you are to sell anything on an auction, one must have the tools of the trade. and know the value of his goods. good luck and welcome back to delcampe.

Many thanks for this detailed information.
Today I had a problem to solve with my neighbour of the second floor, and discovered that he collects and buys stamps. (the new stamps only !)
In order to avoid to buy each year the catalogs, I had a pretty idea:
I will build on a sheet of paper a graphic evolution of some stamps prices, year by year, so I will obtain a graphic evolution , probably linear, and be able to extrapolate the prices for ten of twenty years.
Friendly yours.

Many thanks.
In fact, even if I am selling stamps of my father, with his grateful permission, I do not like stamps.
What I would like to collect ? - I would say: 'thanks of various human souls'.
Very useful when I will die and be presented to the Lord God...
Let me tell you a dream that I have done:
I saw angels which received for mission of putting themselves at the research of the next Vicarius (Lieutenant of Allah, in the Moslem terminology). They had men to seek, and returned by night in the dwellings, passing by the windows or through the walls, from luxurious palates or sometimes humble houses. They found people who declare themselves downward of the Prophet, others which did not claim nothing at whole. Thoses angels worked very quickly, and they seemed to have a hard work, because I even saw some which must re-appear of Turkey or other countries of the Middle East, to go to seek in a quick descent in South America or India... Then I heard a voice distinctly pronounces something which approaches of this, very extremely: "And between the moment when they will be caught by the hair to be presented, and that where they will be rejected, because considered to be unworthy, it will not run out, of time, that a blinking of eyelids." - End of the dream, and strongly surprised of the irreproachable syntax and diction (in french langage), and the wise tone relating to the heard voice -

bonsoir cousin,
the reason this is not listed as a stamp is that it is not. it is an embossed stamped envelope with some 'foxing' as we call the tropical stains on the front. these are not usually listed in the standard stamp catalogs but would be found in a specialized catalog with areograms and stamped envelopes.
amities,
cajunsr.

This stamp from Switzerland has a totally different value, regarding the color. (70 $ or 500 $!)
To cajunsr1: Gold of bronzes color? - What do you think ?
(You do not loose your time for nuts.
Send me something you are searching for.
Perhaps I will be able to make you some pleasure.
"Any work deserves wages."
In fortiory, when the results are fructuous. I do not dispair to find something interesting...)
Here the stamp.
