Hello,
I am new to the site, wanting to sell, but I am having a problem re the quality of images on delcampe.
I have found that my image of 60k which I have been using on my test auctions,(using the sell form on delcampe), has been downgraded to 22k,(by delcampe?) by the time it is on an auction and available to view by fellow members.
In that I would like the quality of the images that I show my fellow members to be as near as as possible to the actual item my question is what can I do to improve the quality?
Any and all advice re this problem would be most appreciated.
Best wishes,
Brian .....(Blueteal)

hi brian,
i have been scanning some much larger images at well over 200K and they come out fine when transferred to the servers on delcampe. their new system will automatically downsize your image file so you really don't have to worry about it. and i have been here a long, long time as member #301. and i know the problems you are talking about. what you will get is a message saying your image file is too big, ignore it and just submit your auction. you will see what i'm talking about. a big difference when you magnify the image too. experiment with more dpi and reduce the percentage of the scan, that works too. say 150 dpi at 75% of the size of the image. just have to tweak things on a scanner to get the best results depending on the manufacturer and their software. i use an old canon N650U but it beats the hell out of my newer HP PSC 1401 all in one scanner for simplicity and ease of use. hope this helps.

hi brian,
you can always change the image if you don't like the results by modifying the sale. this is what is so forgiving using delcampe. it is really the best auction i have found on the net, even if i have my family spats with seb. i treat him like my own son and he knows it. and my jr. is very hard headed, just like his cajun dad.
merci et a bientot,
cajunsr.
