hi.i recntly saw on a site here the flag counter which i thought was a nice idea to add to my site,,can anyone tell me how to do it ?

Do you mean a flag counter like this?

Vinculo (http)

It is easy. Go to Vinculo (http)

and follow the instructions.

You'l get a HTML code like this:

<a href="/"Vinculo (http) src="/"Vinculo (http);" alt=""free" border=""0""></a>

Copy your code (not this one, of course). Go to your Delcampe account and past your code to the "message" text on "my information" > "parameters".

In your Parameters, in the Message section, there are two tabs - "Raw Data" & "HTML Tools" - click on "HTML Tools".

Click on "Source", top left just under where it says "Raw Text" & that's where you will need to paste the code. Click on "Source" again & you will see the results.

Romulux, I just went to your page and it appears as an HTML link rather than an image. You may have to try again, following Woomik's detailed instructions.

seems I started a trend by asking someone how to do it.after seen there's a few days ago..it looks kinda of cool to see where people come from who visit your site..

Is it visitors to the store, or visitors to your 'Who is...' page?

As your "message from seller" is part of every listing, I suspect that every time someone looks at one of your items, it's a hit. I can't believe for one moment that I've had that many hits on my "homepage".

Incidentally, you could amend the code slighty so that the counter opens in a new window when someone clicks on it.

If not, people may click on the counter, look at the stats. etc then close the window (maybe by mistake) and you've then potentially lost a buyer if they don't bother to look for you again.

If the counter opens in a new window and the window is then closed, your page is still there.

To do this, at the very, very start of the code where it says:
<a href="/"http://" follows:=""></a><a target=""blank"" href="/"Vinculo (http);

Well that didn't come out right - it must have read some of the code as html tags!

Put simply, insert

target="blank"

between a & href= to read a target="blank" href

Hope that posts a bit clearer!

For some strange reason my flag counter stopped opening in a new window this afternoon.
Reading the html code the target="blank" has disappeared (not of my doing). I've tried to reinsert it, but it simply won't stay there.

I noticed that Old's counter also opens in the same window now, but Woomik's is still working ok.

DAMN!

Thought I'd try & experiment to try & help but now I find that the same has happened to my parameters. My Flag Counter opens in the same window/tab rather than a new one. I change the code but it doesn't seem to save.
