I commend to everyone paragraph 4.2 of the new Terms and Conditions, which specifies three words and only three words to indicate items which are not genuine. These are

REPRODUCTION, FORGERY and COPY,

and they are recognisable in all the languages used on delcampe, except that you need to take a little care with the equivalents of "forgery" :
FAUX FALSO FALSCHUNG VERFALSING

all obviously meaning false.

This means that foreigners will not be puzzled by words that they might not recognise, like counterfeit or fake, and we should no longer have to wonder about unfamiliar or frankly ambiguous foreign words like "fourrée".

This is a much welcome and rather overdue improvement, which I hope will be strictly enforced. I suggest that all members report to the delcampe team any items they notice which contravene this valuable regulation, essential for fair international trade conducted in several languages.

It may look as though I wrote this on Friday 13th, but I didn't. It's still Thursday here, and although it is Friday 13th in Belgium, that is a lucky day.

Actually, I would translate it as "code of conduct".
Déontologie is quite frequently used in French (and in Dutch but then without the accent aigu), and over the years its meaning has broadend, from something that only doctors, lawyers, the press and such had to behave accordingly, to it actually being used more and more to say "code of conduct" in a fancy way, instead of règle de conduite (in French) and gredragsregel(s) or gedragscode in Dutch.
And now I have to lie down for half an hour.

“Code of conduct” seems a good translation, but if we must have an unfamiliar Belgian word I think I would prefer gredragsregel. It sounds Anglo-Saxon, like wappengeld.
