today i try this new 'secure' login system i was emailed about. unfortunately, the web address shows this : Vinculo (http)......... . is this available only to the premium service club members? i will be patiently awaiting your answer.

Bill, did you log out of the 'old' system and log on to the new, or did you do what many of us do and keep logged in from the previous session?
I didn't notice any change until just now when I logged out to go in under my moderator id, when I got the new login screen

yes, i did indeed logout, several times. and ended with the same result. thus my question. perhaps i will try once more. i do have norton security, i wonder if that has anything to do with my problem.

well, just tried it again. and achieved the same results. seems this idea is one for the ......toolshed.

I have had a regular customer email me direct who said that they can't remember their password and when they click the link for password reminder it throws up a blank page

I tried that link and it's not working

A lot of people have it set so that the passwords are loaded up (on windows) automatically when you log in so now this new logging in system has kicked in your PC won't recognise the password

If customers can't remember the password then how on earth can they retrive it if the page isn't working ?

Me thinks it will be mighty slow on delcampe for a few days

I'll bet the email server at Delcampe will be in meltdown shortly

i thought when one is on a secured server, they would see an 'HTTPS' at the beginning of the website address and a 'lock' symbol on the end. i have just come online after my siesta and get the same ol' story. no changes since last time. and is there something on the new login page that let's us know we are in a secured zone? maybe a picture of my dog, fideaux?

ok, just went back to the old way and here what i see, a shorter web address. still with HTTP, but not as long. by the by, your link doesn't work like my broken external hard drive. maybe i had the link but it ain't showing up as a normal secured one. really weird. i think the zydeco roaches are behind all this.

Bonjour Cajun: Tried to sign into Delcampe this morning on my notebook.The ID was fine but as soon as I tried to enter password the password appeared with my ID attached.Erase that and password jumps up and attaches itself to ID.Round and round we go.Bottom line no entry to Delcampe................is this the new security??Have a more computer literate friend that I look at this later this afternoon. on the evening news the other night, there was an alert about a fast moving virus being spread about on computers world-wide by email. perhaps the 'bug' has bitten yours. i have norton so i am not certain if my system was protected. i did do a security scan and found no infections. but i will check again with norton's website today. bonne chance.

found out that norton users (who were up to date with their protection) were protected from this virus. not trying to sell this product, but it does work very well. wonder why the u.s. gov't. didn't use it? the virus itself was a version of a previous one. a link from norton explains it. :
