Would it (or is it and I'm just unaware) be possible for a member to host their own pictures. I did this on eBay for years. And, frankly, it would actually be easier to do this than your current picture uploading system. Thanks!

Good Morning Ernest,

You can use HTML tags in your description : so you should be able to bring your picture there I think.
But than your listing will appears without picture in "search", your potential buyer would have to click on your title to see your description/detail.

The site is working so well, that I honestly do not understand why you want to go this extra step ?

Have a great day,

Corinne

hi corinne and ernest,
some time ago when pascal was here as the english site manager, i asked him this very same question. his suggestion was the same as corinne's. and he suggested this site to use:

Link (http)

however, whether sebastien will still allow this with his new servers is the question. only he and luke can answer that question. as for imageshack, it is a very good site to host photos and scans and very easy to use and transfer to a website. hope this is useful to our delcampe members. now let us hope our webmaster is listening and responds in kind. :D (give him some smoochies corinne and maybe we can get this done. :peace: :D )

amities,
cajunsr.

Actually, I have my own web domain. I just upload the pictures to my own webspace. Then by putting a link in the right place, my servers will plug the picture in anywhere it's called up. This would save Delcampe ever having to have my pictures on their server, which would save them storage space and bandwidth when a page with some of my stuff loads. I'd think it would also eliminate any file size restrictions for me.

hi ernest,
folllow this link and make contact with luke. ask him about using your links on your auctions as sebastien must make the final decisions.:

Link (http)

as pascal has left the team, and they have new servers, i don't know what the policy is at present. only sebastien has the answers and he's the 'boss'.

amities,
cajunsr.
