welcome to delcampe. yes, we do have some comedians. i am one of them, but i also help many of the newcomers too. i was an army medic in vietnam and often found 'humor was the best medicine.' so try not to be too harsh with our delcamper friends here. they can be very helpful if they know what you are trying to ask or what you are looking for. as for ebay, delcampe is not associated with them, be assured of that. it was because of what ebay had become that sebastien started his website. and i think he has done an excellent job. please evaluate it carefully before making any rash decisions. i have been here since the beginning and find it very comfortable for a frenchie american.

Intersting line of chat here, of course 'they' are not connected, I can see that as a newcommer.
I have been trading as a collector/dealer since 1989, & been on eBay for a while, (on 100% rating) although got a bit frustrated with them over thier instistence of us to use & promte the buyers paypal payment over any others, just as efficent methods but pushed as possible fraudalent/dodgy.

Somehow had found Delcampe & have had a lot of helpful communications from them, & trying to work with thier system to make use of it for sales of old & new postcards.

I cannot comment really fully how Delcampe fares until we have really been on the system long enough to have had some sales, therefore being able to test out the system. I reserve my full opinions until maybe I have done that, but for European postcards I feel its likely to be positive.
Whatever, its unfair to rubbish any system that you have not really worked with, & if issues are there, is it not best to get them resolved with buyer/seller first then Delcampe, than as I have in many posts, critical comments of this, so no surprise memberships appear closed!

If you were either a proven thief or abusive or unkind to my shop staff (former retail 10 yrs), then you would not be welcome in our shop. No one has the right to use anyones services or product.

So I have no problems to date, other than working out how to work with the affiliate side & help promote them to the British.
It appears to me that its European & Americans that are at the forefront of this, as I dont see much if at all of buying interest to me as yet. Catch 22, you have to get more of both buyers & sellers into Delcampe of all the countries involved.

I think the very best attribute is the use of BabelFish as thats got to be helpful where you cannot read any other language.
