POUNOU : Les Pounous font partie de ces peuples de la forêt équatoriale ayant fui sous la pression des Fangs : ils vivent au sud du Gabon, le long du fleuve Ogoué. Incarnation de l'esprit du défunt (la couleur blanche étant celle des morts), le masque okuyi se manifeste au sein du village à l'occasion de certaines fêtes religieuses. Sculpté dans un bois léger, la face est recouverte de kaolin blanc rehaussé de rouge sur la bouche.
