Could we please have a new category established for Great Britain>(Colonies & Protectorates)->Morocco Agencies?

This is substantial collecting area, with a lot of cheaper stamps, for which there is currently no sensible category under which to put them other than 'Other' or 'Unclassified'.

Also a Great Britain->(Colonies & Protectorates)->Offices Abroad category might additionally prove useful to cover those other miscellaneous items which are diffucult to find or list under the current classifications i.e. British Levant, Middle East and East Africa Forces issues, Anglo-French Togo, Cameroon under British occupation etc. etc.

Totally agree....but I asked this question last year and was told that there were insufficient listings to make a new category. I pointed out that British Levant had a separate category with fewer listings and that there were 2 categories in the French DOM-TOM section with less than 50 listings in each......result?

My guess is that there would probably be 3000 or 4000 listings in any Morocco Agencies section. I have stopped listing these on D as there is no proper category to put them in.

This becomes rather like the 'Catch 22' situation, with the problem being that if sellers don't list the material, then it supports the idea that there isn't a need for a separate category and obviously vice versa!

Yes you are right. I actually put some Agencies & Tangier material on with British Levant & they sold fairly quickly......sorry I forgot.

Looks like that will have to do for now until a proper category is in place. ("Other is so useless".....)

Perhaps one (partial) solution would be to have a category for GB overprints which would incorporate most of such areas as the Levant and Morocco Agencies etc., and would tie in well with a substantial area of collecting, certainly in the UK and those intersted in British area philately

If you are going to use the "overpeints" idea, can you include also the wartime, occupation & administration period overprints? Tries to find a category for Iraq, Bushire & Cameroons o/prints recently without success......found Batum though......occupation lasted all of 8 months!.....I think Morocco Agencies & Tangier was more like 50+ years
