I would like to see the sub-categories 'Used' and 'Unused' removed and replaced by a radio button on the Selling Form with at least the following conditions selectable:-
Mint never hinged
Mint hinged
Cancelled to order
Very fine used
Fine used
Used
The Stamp Condition should be displayed as part of the description.
Along with this we would need a filter on Stamp Condition.
The big advantage here is there would be far less maintenance needed for including Used and Unused as sub-categories. Also, these sub-categories are currently not available for all countries, which is a huge anomaly.
As a programmer I believe this would be reasonably simple to implement.
I also think that filtering on Stamp Condition to this level (ebay only provides new and used) will be a big advantage over all of the alternate auction sites.

Sir,
It is good suggestion.
The big challenge in this category will be the perspective.
Lets say for example Very Fine Used.
This same Very Fine Used can be different for two different people.
Lets have some other members feedback also.
maghu.

This is an EXCELLENT idea.
I hope you will post it on the Philately forum also. That category seems to have more activity.
If this enhancement could be implemented it would be great, and make listing stamps a great deal less frustrating. For a couple of years off and on I have asked that the mint category be expanded to include mint never hinged (this is especially important with many earlier issues and for certain countries like Germany and Switzerland); but your idea would be much better and all inclusive. For listing in many countries it would Immediately eliminate two of the already burdensome sub-categories, replacing them with a much more efficient "condition" radio button. Using the (*), (**) and (o) designation could still be used as part of the condition selection process if the purpose of these is to aid with translation. So many collectors have an aversion to cancelled to order stamps that adding the CTO classification would help eliminate a lot of surprise, disappointment and refunds to customers.
Your programmer skills plus knowledge of stamp collecting would prove very helpful if a decision is made to implement your suggestion.

I think it would be important to have a category - Unused, no gum

For many stamps OG is low quality, but ..... many stamps issued without the gum. So, this idea looks not at all positive
