hey bdog,
true story, recently, a guy on a flight here in the states got bit by a small scorpion that hitched a ride in the airport in texas. nothing life threatening but he sure was surprised when it fell out of his pant leg at his destination. he survived. want a feedback from him?

 not funny
Cajjy so how is Feedback working now
The Buyer /Seller gives 100% and you both get Neutral.
So in theory if you give 0% its better you go to your Lawyer :fight:
Pascal I think its better you explain why we receive Neutral, because I`m a dumb farmhand

hey bdog,
i agree with you on this. someone took the car out of gear here. i looked at my ratings as i gave one last night and i didn't see any 'neutral' listed and i gave the person a 100%, and that is what he got. something fishy going on and it ain't the translator this time. by the way, where is pascal? ain't heard or seen the little rascal lately. maybe he's under the weather or very busy. i'm sure we will get an answer.

50% given if Goods are Lost----------Proof of posting (I always have a Receipt when I ship).or damaged.
100% when you each other
So why do we have a 0% rating. Is it only for only for Unsolved Disputes ie Money not Paid?
But who gets it the Buyer / Seller or the Seller / Buyer or does delcampe decides

As a person who buys on Delcampe I go to great lengths to pay as quickly as possible. Once an item has arrived I leave feedback.
The reasons for leaving feedback are because it is polite to do so and also because it is of assistance to others.
Looking at my purchases over the last few months I see that recently not one seller has bothered to leave me any feedback at all.
Why is this?
A few years ago it used to be the normal thing to do.
eBay does not have this situation, why should Delcampe/
Perhaps with the gradual economic demise of Europe people have now lost their manners, sense of dignity, proportion and confidence.
It is very sad that this should happen to a site once famed for the uniquely European charm of its membership.

Interesting - my experience is the other way round principally as a seller
Feedback given: 4907
Feedback received: 4470
Quite a difference, especially since many of the sales have been 'completed' by the buyer marking them as received - yet no feedback...
To be honest, it doesn't bug me now as much as it used to, but it would be a nice gesture to acknowledge my efforts especially since I give feedback as soon as payment is received

I give Feedback as soon as i sell the item .Like u i`m a seller too.But i will not and lose any sleep over it.
What i hqate and its happening today is the Server / Delcampe playing up.
But logic says its Friday and everbody is online to finish the weeks business and go home hence the overload and the saying "Thanks God its Friday".

Hi....thanks for that. Looks like I got it all wrong......no big surprise there!
I am a seller and reciprocate feedback as soon as the buyer gives me feedback.
I had previously thought that receipt of the goods by the buyer & buyer giving feedback (as well as paying of course) were part of the "selling experience" and that the sellers were giving feedback on the whole lot.
Do I assume that other sellers give feedback relating to payment only? If so, I will change my practice immediately of course
Thanks
Mike

As far as I'm concerned the buyer has fulfilled his part of the bargain as soon as he sends payment, and I'm happy to acknowledge that; equally I have fulfilled my part of the bargain by supplying the items in a timely manner and in the condition described
If each waits for the other to decide if the 'selling experience' was satisfactory we'll quickly reach the point where everyone is waiting for the other to blink first...

I am with Xtf and Bigcollector on this one.
I sit down once a day (Mon - Fri) to pack up all items that have been paid for. As soon as I've done that, I get back to the computer and leave feedback for al the items.

I give feedback as soon as payment is received.
It let the buyer know that their money has arrived and the transaction is underway.

Thanks guys...I will give it some thought.
At present, I receive feedback on about 90% or so of sales which is about the same as another member reported on this thread. So my actual experience over 3 years on D is certainly not "who blinks first" but, I guess, similar to others who give earlier feedback.
Biliran, Philippines is far away and the post was very unreliable 3 years ago so I delayed feedback. Many buyers did not realise how far away we were and moans were constant. Thankfully, post is much better now and no moans for ages so maybe it is time to advance feedback to when an item is paid for.
Incidentally 9in response to scview....we only accept electronic payments and 99.9% go through the electronic wallet so buyer already knows money is received. All registered packages are advised to buyers (with reg nos) on posting,
Maybe my reticence was due to the dreadful EB system of "positive feedback only" even if the buyer takes a month to pay and then tries on a dodgy claim for non-receipt or damage........happy to say not applicable to D.

Had a wry smile at the statement about the Philippines being far away and post slow - I once had a buyer leave me feedback complaining about slow delivery when I posted his stuff the morning following receipt of payment - and that was within the UK!
