Can I list postcards that will probably be sold in the UK for British Pounds, but, say, list French ones in Euros? Seems that when I look at both sites there is a combination of both currencies listed.
I would prefer to always accept monies in Pounds via PayPal or Moneybookers.

If listing on the UK site you can only list in Sterling and on the French site, Euros
You can list on the International site of course, in any currency you like, but such items will not appear on the local (country) sites

When I first joined Delcampe I toyed with the idea of using the various national sites for topographical cards, but decided against it. Whether that was the right decision or not, I don't know. I expect what is more of a problem selling overseas (specially if it concerns low value items) is postage cost.
As Xtf says, if you use International only, you can list in any currency you like. If you want to use the French, German, USA, etc. site, you have to list in the currency of the site.
Like you, I prefer all my payments to be in GBP, but if you list on "foreign" sites, you'll have to accept their currency. I have no idea what the situation is with MB, because I've never received a payment in a foreign currency, but the exchange rate applied by Paypal is quite appalling.

Thanks for both of your replies. The idea of converting monies may prove to be a deciding factor, with small margins on postcards. I was just looking at the French site comparing the exact same postcards and would be able to list a their rates, but would seem more expensive when taking postage into account.
Having said that, it’s probably the same consideration for them to list on a UK site for the same item.
I think in the long run, it may come down to keeping overseas postage very competitive. Where like for like comparisons are made, it is important, maybe less so when an item cannot be compared.

Keep the weight below 40g and postage to Europe is £1 - a single PC in a small board-back envelope comes in at 30-35g

When I first got here I listed a bunch of French and Italian stuff on the US site with the price in USD and sales were flat.
Then one day out of shear frustration I moved everything over to the respective country sites, which automatically changes the currency denomination of your listings.
Sales all of the sudden picked up and have been steady ever since, so now whenever I list a card, I make sure that the currency it is priced in is the currency of my target market where that option is available.
I get my cards for less than a buck a card in bulk, so the extra 30-40% I pay in shipping costs to send them overseas is negligible when it comes down to the bottom line.

Can I ask you something?
When you moved your cards to different sites, did it actually do a currency conversion or was your $5.00 card listed as a 5.00 Euro card?

Believe it or not, Delcampe actually changes the currency for you.
I was very thankful for this when I was changing some stuff fron international to US one evening. I wasn't careful when using bulk changes and I accidentally moved my whole inventory over to US!
It only took a few minutes to get everything back to where it needed to be, but as I was doing it I noticed that delcampe actually converted everything over to USD and then back to Euros, Swiss Francs, GBP, whatever. Everything added up perfectly too.
Also, FYI, if you're thinking of doing this I highly recomend setting up your paypal account so that you have a balance in every currency that you intend on taking, this way it'll just accept the money and you won't have to manually go into Paypal for it to accept your customer's money.
I don't understand why it makes you set up a separate balance instead of just converting it to your native currency on the spot, but that's paypal for you; a total eBay product.

Having separate currency balances in PayPal is very convenient if you're also buying in those currencies. Then you will spend the pounds you get as pounds, the euros as euros and so on, and never have to worry about losing several percent in currency excanges back and forth.

Are you still listing everything on USA+International and then making some kind of listing conversion? When I do: UK+International, it will only let me list in British Pounds. As I understand it, we want to list all our France cards in Euros but I don't seem to be able to do this, on the UK site. If I were to switch to listing on International only, nobody would see anything on my uk site.

You can list your French cards on the French site of course, and the use of Euro will default automatically
You would probably need to list items in French (description, terms, etc.) otherwise it would be pretty pointless and may fall foul of the 'wrong language' restriction in the Terms & Conditions
Bon chance!

No, I generally list all my non-US stuff in international; anything of mine that is on a country site other than US is there because I screwed up and had to move it to change the currency denomination.
