Modifications of the e-wallet and Bonus Credits

Dear sellers,
Thanks to our members' testimonies about the latest updates (by email and on our forum), we have decided to apply some changes.
Offer a discount to your buyers thanks to the e-wallet
An additional field is added with regards to the fees mentioned in the payment demand that is sent to your buyers.
This allows you to give a discount, which will be deducted from the total amount that has to be paid. Obviously, you are not obligated to use this feature.
The Bonus Credits used by your buyers
From now on, you will have the possibility to see the Bonus Credits used by your buyers and by month.
You can also print out or export this list into CSV for your accountancy.
You can visit "My Delcampe" > "My control panel" > "My selling: Bonus Card Parameters" and select the tab "My given credits". Here, you will have to select "Monthly history of used credits".
A new window that contains the list of used Bonus Credits will open.

Dear members,
The Delcampe website exists for 10 years now... and it has always been important for us to meet your expectations and to take into account your suggestions.
This is why, even though our community keeps growing, we conduct an annual great survey to register your impression and opinion about the website.
This is an important event for us as it enables us to ensure that the site evolves while taking into account our members' experiences, both from our new and more experienced members.
We have noticed that many took part in our previous survey, providing ideas, comments and remarks. We have already been able to take this information into account last year...
For 2011, we are counting on you...
... and we hope that even more members will participate!
We have prepared an online form for you. It enables you to tell us:
- what you like (5 positive points);
- what you don't like (5 negative points);
- what you would like as new features (5 ideas);
- what our site means to you;
- feel free to voice your opinion (suggestions, encouraging messages,...)
- Your answers will remain confidential. We will not communicate them to a third party -

Sell a similar item: change

Dear members, dear sellers,
For a very long time, we have been receiving complaints from buyers about so called false new sales on the website (This means the sales that have been present on the website for a long time and that regularly reappear as "New" items in the lists and email alerts).
This was possible due to a flaw (bug): when choosing the option "Sell a similar item", the image of this item was also copied. This made it really easy to indicate a sale which had been present on the website for a long time as new.
This bug existed on the website for years. We were aware of this, but have tolerated its presence until now.
Many buyers have found this situation to be exasperating and disencouraging, as our annual survey proved a couple of days ago.
Consequently, we have decided to take action against the cause of these issues. From now on, the function "Sell a similar item" won't include the image of the copied item. A "similar" item actually can't have the same image, because the image is contractual (For new items, our stock sales system can be used).
We also remind you that:
- You can determine the number of automatic renewals when creating a sale.
- You can always restart a sale by clicking just once. In case the buyer hasn't completed the transaction, the sale will be presented as new (because of the new item number).
- You can always modify a sale in a simple manner (title, description, images, price, etc).
- There are sales options that can be used to highlight items that deserve it.
- Our website has no listing fee and our servers have a limited capacity. Therefore, we advise our members to use with moderation.
- The time needed to turn old items into "New" items can be for listing new items.
This modification doesn't prevent selling well on the website in any way.
We can understand very well that many sellers considered this feature practical and useful, and we would like to remind you that it's very important for us to meet everyone's demands. However, we have to favour the general interest over the personal interest. This is a part of the decisions, which are sometimes unpopular decisions, that we have to take.
The fact that a large number of members has complained about this change does imply that a large number of false "New" sales was created.
These regulatory operations on the website will eventually improve the quality and allow browsing the website to be more pleasant for buyers. We can all benefit from this, both buyers, sellers and the website. And, at last some good news: the number of sales hasn't dropped after this bug has been corrected!

PS: Concerning sending items with the Delcampe Lister, our Terms and conditions indicate that: "Within its Club+ Gold program, Delcampe makes the Lister software available. This one must be used with moderation. In order to avoid abuse, the same item (same title, same
image(s), same description) can be uploaded a maximum three times a year". About this: we are acting when receiving complaints about such practices and a number of sellers had their account suspended after receiving several warnings. Please feel free to contact us if you notice abuse!
PS2: It's true that is would have been better to communicate before this change was put into practice. The reason for not communicating (involuntarily) was that this change was included in the list of bugs to be corrected on a daily base and that this change wasn't part of the website improvements about which we communicate.
